Biography

She was born in Syracuse, grew up in Edmonton and studied New Media at Ryerson University, Toronto. A combined passion for film and music lead to directing Music Videos. Splitting her time between Toronto and London, she became a sought-after Music Video director. She went on to direct Music Videos for Hayden, Broken Social Scene and Eagle-Eye Cherry. She won Yong Guns Medals for Covenant House, Holsten and Hayden’s ‘All in One Move’.

In 2005, she was featured in the short New Directors reel, Shoot New Directors Showcase and she won a Bronze Lion for the ALS Society of Canada’s ‘Hugging’ spot.
She also directed Dove “Evolution”, which was one of the most downloaded videos on the internet in 2006 with over 7 million hits on YouTube.com alone. “Evolution” was voted the ‘Top Spot in 2006’ by the Globe and Mail.

She picked up the most prestigious of awards at Cannes, “The Grand Prix in Viral Marketing” in 2007 as well as, ‘Best in Show’ and ‘Gold Single’ for “Evolution” at the 2007 Marketing Awards. In 2009, “Evolution” was shortlisted for Adweek’sTV Commercial of the Decade and placed among the top ten. Her work has been featured in Boards, Shots, Shoot, Creativity, Campaign, Adcritic, Marketing and The Reel.
