Biography

From its beginning, marked by a brief but very successful career as an advertising creative, Jose Antonio Prat’s work has distinguished itself for its brave sense of irreverence and rebellion together with its sharp visual elegance.

His unique ability to stimulate credible acting, even in the most absurd scenarios, has taken him to create spots that have already become legendary. For example, MTV’s “Smells like Britney”, where a grown man wakes up one day to discover that he has mysteriously developed the ability to fart in tune to Britney Spears’ songs. Another example is Axe Unlimited’s “Academies”, where a young, inexperienced guy enrolls into an underground school of seduction, where he is forced to face the most extreme tests of endurance.
In the award-winning “Little Bird”, also for MTV, a naive teenager is tricked by his canary, who promises him to free him of his social awkwardness in exchange for the little bird’s freedom.

A vast international trajectory has taken Jose Antonio Prat to work with the world’s most creative agencies, like Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Fallon, La Comunidad, BBH, Ponce Buenos Aires, and many more.

He has worked for brands and companies like MTV, MasterCard, Renault, Vodafone, Coke Zero, Movistar, Toyota, and Axe.

His narrative and visual skills that deliver moments of comedy laden with honesty and a feeling of humanity for the audience have earned him the recognition of the industry’s press and numerous awards, such as Cannes, One Show and Clío.

His most recent recognition was for MTV’s “Little Bird”, honored at the AICP show, who’s list of winners is a part of New York’s MOMA’s permanent collection.
