A Colombian director and producer. Born in 1976. Living in Los Angeles California.
He spent his childhood between Bogota and the amazon jungle. During his adolescence he moved to Europe where he finished high school. Later on he moved to New York and realized professional Studies in publicity and design.
He started out as a creative at the Bates Agency in New York. In 2001 he assumes the position as Creative Director at the JWT Agency in Mexico City and creates campaigns for Diageo, Ford, HSBC, Néstlé, J&B, between London and the D.F.
In 2005 he makes his debut as creator and producer of the series “Addiction” – an organic fusion between the World of advertising and television – which was acquired by Warner Brothers and developed by Silver Pictures for the North American market.
With Leftwood Films –his other company- he made his debut as executive producer in Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel, a movie about the cult director Roger William Corman directed by Alex Stapleton. The movie premiered at the Sundance Festival 2011.
With Mira+, his company in Colombia, he presents us his most recent work, the feature length documentary “Pablo’s Hippos” commissioned by BBC/Storyville and the Sundance Channel. The history revolves around the life of the extinct drug dealer Pablo Escobar and his favorite pet, a hippo.
Among his future projects for this year we will see his first fiction feature film called “Freeman” which is actually in pre production and added to the the documentary “CocaInc” as Director.
Currently Antonio directs commercials and videos in Los Angeles.
